Granting sustainable and economic mobility to people and companies in the peripheral regions of Germany that are affected by demographic change is one of the greater challenges for German transport policy. The mobility of people in these regions is a prerequisite for increasing the future attractiveness of employment, ensure supply and enhance quality of life. Modern approaches such as sharing services, crowdsourcing and digital data sources could serve as possible means to tackle these challenges.

Supporting a current project, a study on the consumer requirements regarding mobility in peripheral regions shall be carried out. To do so, a netnographic study in online communities and blogs etc. is a key approach to tackle this research topic. Different approaches other than the netnographic study are welcome to be discussed in a personal meeting.
